strange "clunk"
I figure that this is the best place to put my problem. Tonight when driving home from work, I was going about 65ish and I felt a clunk. Don't think it was from the engine. I think it's some thing drivetrain/transmission related. I think the revs dropped some but before I could look at the rev counter, it was back to normal. I guess the clunk could also be characterized as a lurch of sorts. This is the second time that it has happened in a month. Before a month ago, I cannot recall it ever happening. What could this be?

Hmm, Last I looked at them they looked fine but I will check again tomorrow. A couple of months ago I had an inner tie rod replaced on the right side. If I recall when looking at it, the left CV boot had the clip on it where it attached to the tie rod, but the right didn't. Don't know if that means anything besides the timeframe of the inner tie rod being replaced and the clunks happening.ericem wrote:Did you check out all the CV's? maybe one of them has a broken boot.
