Bad times

I'm here at work for the next two hours, and it seems like it's going to be eight hours.

After going to Universal Studios last night with my girlfriend (it was college night and we got in free), I headed home, since she had to go to work and I had to get home and get to bed for work this morning. But as I was exiting Interstate 4 by my neighborhood, some retard in a Kia Rio decided to rear end a taxicab... and then proceed to try and run away through my neighborhood!

Having been in a hit-and-run before, I know what a pain in the balls it is. So I put my citizen patrol badge on  and begin to chase the moron in the Kia, along with the taxicab. I quickly caught up to them since the Kia had a blown front right tire, and I pulled ahead of him to try and box him in between me and the cab. He would not stop. He never actually hit me, but he did everything in his power to get back in front of me.

The taxicab actually gave up at one point, but I kept on. I followed him all the way to his house, where he literally just stopped and asked me what the problem was. I said "You hit-and-ran that taxicab, that's what the problem is." He then actually said "I didn't hit anything!" So now I knew he was under the influence of something. He didn't even get close to me, he just stumbled toward his house. I told him "The police already have your license plate and I'm giving your location right now, so you're already in trouble." He said "Go ahead and let them come," then walked into the house.

I stayed on the phone with the police and told them the street he was on, but my POS phone kept cutting out, it dropped the call twice. I finally was connected long enough and steadily enough to give them all the necessary details, and then just went home.

Trying to calm my nerves down, I went to call one of my friends and share the story with him, and my phone kept cutting out again (don't ever get a Samsung!), so I threw it across the room, and then put the pieces back together to find it now is dead.

I'm supposed to go down to my family's house after work today for my birthday tomorrow, but now it's gonna be really difficult to do it without a cell phone. And to be completely honest, I don't want to go down there because I had a pretty nasty altercation with them earlier this month, and I for one am not over it yet.

So, I'm gonna go to Verizon today and get a different phone. I refuse to buy another Samsung, I refuse to buy another Motorola. So I'm gonna try LG. I'd love to have the Chocolate, but alas, it's too expensive.

Oh, and I should mention that I woke up with a sore throat this morning, because I got caught in a rainstorm while delivering yesterday and didn't get a chance to dry off. I feel like crap, my head's all stuffy, the normal common cold stuff.

Cliff notes: I chased down and reported a drunk driver last night, fucked my phone up in the process, am supposed to see my family tomorrow when I really don't want to see them, and I woke up with a sore throat this morning. I honestly just want to go home and back to bed.

thats a crazy stroy, any word on the kid being arrested or anything?
he was probably just drunk off his ass, good job calling the cops though, if theres anything that pisses me off its hit and runs (just one thing on a long list of things that piss me off even if im not the victum)

get a Cingular, i have a Go-Phone, since Christmas and havent had any problems with it, its free minutes when you call anyone with a Go-Phone

but on a side note, HAPPY BITHRDAY!! GO TOO BED!! just tell the family your not feeling up for going anywhere and go down some other time

I have a cheap LG that came with my Verizon plan for $50 and have dropped it on concrete, down steel ladders, hitting rungs on the way, and had it skip across a room. Still works well after over a year. Hate the camera buttons on the side since they're liable to have it taking video of the inside of my pocket, but that's my only problem.

Verizon calls are free to other Verizon users and both Cingular and Verizon have good service, however Cingular is a douchebag of a company - ask anyone they rent real estate from or does contract work for them.

I had an LG, it was a piece of crap. Hated it. Dropped calls all the time, poor signal reception. I have a razr now, and it gets good signal in places the LG would say "No Service".

I have a red samsung through verizon and it's a POS. I'm thinking of getting rid of verizon anyway, my phone bills have been very large.

Weird, ivwarrior. Everyone that I know that has a Razr absolutely hates it. But my grandmother had an LG for so long (4 years) that they made her change it out because it didn't have the GPS-compatible emergency mode or whatever it is.

My boss was complaining today too about the Samsung he had with Sprint, and how it just died after a year.

I did end up getting an LG phone, a VX5300 I think it's called. It's enough for me, it's at least got a camera. Like I said, I wish I could have afforded the Chocolate, but I couldn't.

What sucks is that they specifically told me not to overcharge this battery, they said it will get damaged that way. So I can't let it charge overnight.

I got home and played with it for a while and then took a nap, had a HUGE headache when I woke up, probably because I didn't eat lunch. My grandmother called at about 2:30 and I told her I was sick, so she told me not to come down.

I haven't heard back from the po-po about my little adventure last night, so I dunno what's gonna happen with it. I just hope that guy gets thrown in the can somehow.

I just hope I feel better tomorrow, since it's my birthday and everything

Other than the battery seeming to die quickly once in a while, I haven't had an issues with my Razr. Then again, I just use it as a phone, not for a camera, or internet access or any of that.

I can't remember the model of the LG that I had, but I don't that that was it. Hopefully, you'll have a better experience than I did.

I had an LG too. It sucked. I had a Motorola E815. It sucked also. Verizon replaced it 8 times before I finally gave up and started using my mom's old Palm Treo 650. I've been using the Treo for like 6 months, and it's awesome. If I get a new phone, I'll probably get a new Treo.

God fucking dammit!

Nevermind, I don't want to be home anymore. My fucking septic tank drain fields are full again and backing up raw fucking sewage into my bathroom!

This isn't the first time this has happened. It happened a little over a year ago, and they pumped the field to buy some time, but they told me the drain field was pretty much done, and that at some point, we'd probably have to connect to city drainage.

Hopefully it will calm down enough so I can at least take a shower in the morning. I can bum the shower at my friend's house, done that before too.

Sore throat, pain-in-the-balls stereo install in my car (more on that later), and my bathtub filled with the shit I took 3 months ago.

Happy fucking birthday to me.

I have an LG VX3300 and I've fallen on it, dropped it, and sat on it and it still works well (been getting dropped calls recently, but I think that's abnormal). Every LG phone I've seen has been able to be put through hell and back and it still work just fine.

No thanks to Cingular or Sprint-Nextel Coverage - they suck.

Are you sure it's your drainfield that's toast? How long has it been since you've had the tank pumped? Around here, it's mandated that it be pumped every 2 years. It might be time to have a septic company investigate the lead pipe from the tank to the drain field - ours was partially blocked and causing high levels in the tank. Replacing the blocked pipe made the tank level drop significantly.

Honestly, I dunno what's wrong. The last time this happened, I was astounded at how many people had no idea what they were doing. The first guy that came by said that the property WAS tied to the city since he couldn't find the white connector thing in the yard that I clearly see every single fucking time I mow the grass. Then the next guy said that the drain field was shot and that he could empty the field to buy us some time, but that it was only a temporary fix.

My grandfather was supposed to call them today and have them come out and empty the tank, so we'll see.

At my grandparents' old house (which was weird: my bathroom was on septic tank and theirs was on city), my bathroom kept backing up, and my grandmother kept blaming me for it saying I used too much toilet paper. I kept cutting it down and cutting it down until I was damn near wiping my ass with my bare hand and it still kept happening. So after getting the tank emptied twice in a year and having the same problem, someone actually was intelligent enough to investigate and found that a tree branch had grown underneath the drain pipe leading to the tank and that was causing the problem. To this day I am conservative on my toilet paper use because of that. I developed a fucking complex over it.

What does all this mean for me in the future? I will NEVER willingly own any house on my own that has a septic tank. If I have to live in the hood and spend more money on a mortgage on a house with city drainage than live in a nice neighborhood in a cheaper house with a septic tank, that's what I'm gonna do. This is ridiculous.

Instead of starting a new thread, I'll just cut and paste into this one, since it's basically the same topic:

Just so you know guys, I'm going through some crap right now. Nothing major or big, just little stuff piling on little stuff.

Sore throat AGAIN (it's been 4 days now, gonna call the doctor tomorrow if it isn't completely gone by then), had plumbing problems here at the house, getting behind in my schoolwork, and hour cuts have forced me into some rather extensive financial cutbacks. I'm about as broke now as I've been in the last 2 years. And I have NOT been buying a buttload of Subaru parts.

That said, I might not get to all your parts questions/requests right away. I know I don't have any of you guys in limbo right this second, but I just wanted you all to know.

So honestly, if time is an issue, I'd rather you go to your local dealer and get prompt service, because I'm simply not capable of giving it to you guys right now. And for that I apologize :(

Don't worry about me, I'll be okay, I'm just working REALLY hard to try and finish school in the winter, and I might be working a little too hard, so it's catching up with me now. My girlfriend and I are perfectly happy, we'll be celebrating 6 months on the 21st of this month .

But if I don't post for a while or respond to anyone's emails/PMs, please don't take it personally.

Just an interesting update...

I already had the phone replaced under warranty. Thursday morning at 9am, I look at the phone to check the time, and it says 12:09am. I turn the phone off thinking it's just frozen, and it won't turn back on. The battery was low, so I figured it just died and the phone freaked out. But it wouldn't charge. So I take it back to Verizon and they gave me a new one free.

I wasn't THAT upset because I didn't pay anything, and stuff like this happens. But I just find it ironic that I was just sitting here bragging about LG phones and how reliable they seem to be, and then my first one dies after less than two weeks.

I didn't break any mirrors recently, I swear I didn't.
