Hey all....In the next two weeks I'm going to start my EJ22T build up

I have 2.5 SOHC heads/intake + cams

A 03' WRX turbo and intercooler

---------------------------------------------

I need to pick out my EMS and my injectors.....Is there anyway I can use the stock ECU (flashing it or something like that?)

Whats the cheapest/easiest option I can go for Engine Management?

What cc injectors should I get?

Thank you so much for the help - Jutboy!!!!!

Easiest in my mind is the PP6.

How much boost are you going to run? You should get at least 550 STI side feeds to be safe.

Stock ecu cannot be reflashed (disclaimer - unless you are nico).

The yellow sti injectors that doug suggested are perfect and fit in 92-94 n/a rails...

For em I would suggest the emanage ultimate. Dont bother with the blue - I think it would have trouble scaling back enough fuel with sti injectors for you to even idle properly...
- this is the closest you can get to standalone while retaining the stock ecu.

The pp6 has had some really bad reviews, but looks tempting. I dont know - some people like it... I think some people have a lot of idling issues... Maybe this was fixed with the newer version?

If you have a legacy turbo ecu and not an n/a ecu, you should be fine with the ignition curve. If you only need to alter fuel, you should probably be ok with just an apexi safc II. Cheap and they work.

I am going to run an apexi safc II and an msd dis2 which will be able to run retarded ignition above 4000 rpm. (n/a ecu)
I personally also bought a J&S safeguard ultra. My biggest concern running non-standalone type em is detonation. Not being able to get a proper tune is going to haunt me. The J&S is able to retard timing according to level of detonation occuring. Im hoping this will help save my engine if anything goes awry... Im also going to run a wideband, electric boost, electric oil pressure, and electric egt gauges. - Its very important to know whats going on in your engine...

Anything else?
