Georryan Autox Vid

Ok so I went to my first autox last year. I got some videos as well. I only have the in car video currently, but I have a couple more from outside the car.

This was my second run ever. I was surprised at the end of it as you'll notice because I actually had shaved off 2 seconds from my first run.

Also, my tires were just all season tires. I think I was one of 3 cars that was running all seasons. On top of that I had disabled my abs, thinking it would be better for the runs, but what I didn't expect was how easy it was to lock up all 4 wheels with it disabled. My first run I came in a lot slower, and the second run I locked them up and was pumping the brakes to keep from hitting the cones and being disqualified. When we turned around I had just smoked the track, but you can't notice it too well on the video. hehe

Enjoy. It's a divx video, but I'll try and get it on utube later.

Video Here

VF8 turbo with Turbo back CES exhaust. Prodrive P1 springs and AGX struts. Stock sway bars. The fluttering you hear if you hear any is the front crosspipe and upipe that are also from CES.

The tranny noise comes from all the hardened bushings and short shifter bushings that just resonate the noises of the car.

It was an odd course. It kept me fast enough to stay out of first, but too slow to get into third, so I was in second the whole time. It was also the video person's first time in a turbo. I think she had fun. :)

That's a slow course, lots of what felt like just putting around, but you didn't have tires to push much harder.

Cool.

Yeah, it was a slow course. A guy I went with had been doing this for a couple years, and I was faster than him in my first run.

My tires wouldn't take much more, and some of the turns were so sharp enough that the lines you had to take wouldn't let you get much more speed. On top of that, I just didn't go slow enough to go back to first, and the vf8 kicks in a little later than the vf11, so it lugged a little longer than the smaller turbo.

All in all it was fun, though.
