Hey thanks for backing into my car this morning, jackass.

If it had done more than crack the $8 mount I would be super pissed. I'm pretty sure it was the 3-series I parked behind and hopefully they live around me and I'll see the car again so I can leave them a friendly note. Also I hope the brackets made a nice gouge in their bumper.

I actually take license numbers of cars that look like they'd be driven by idiots that are near me in parking lots. Not that it stopped $2500 in damage to my Mazda when I was parked well clear of anything, but it makes me feel like I have a little control. Probably was a BMW. Around here they're all driven by the same boring unaware people who drive a Taurus or Camry, but more concerned with the name on the trunk and also under the mistaken impression that just because their car comes from a place with unrestricted speed limits that they must be the fastest car in traffic even while leading a parade. They are probably in my way more often than Priuses and Buicks.

Seriously, what a dick.

If I did that, I would leave a note on your car, and honestly probably be under the impression that because the damage was so minor that you probably wouldn't do anything about it, and be happy that I was at least courteous enough to leave a note. But I would still be willing to pay for damage if you so requested. I fucked up, it's only fair.

Every once in awhile I will write down a plate# and description. I was a little concerned about it since I parked kind of close because I was on the end next to a driveway. I actually got back in my car and moved back a few inches so that he would have more room to get out.

The mount was $15 shipped, and I'm glad I have the plastic ones instead of the steel and aluminum brackets you can buy. Otherwise it would have probably broken the reflector or lens, which is a $52 part.

yeah I could always extend those mounts out a couple of inches and make some sort of a beefy light bar.

+1 for the light bar. Deer would never run in front of your car.

Yay I got my new bracket today. I'm really surprised that it got here from PA that quickly.

Hopefully there are some quick connectors at my apt so I don't have to go buy some new ones.

Coming soon: the insides of a Hella FF1000 driving light.
