Why is there no valve adjustment possible on the 2.2L turbo?

one might think that to be a pretty vital adjustment espectially when running something as precise as a turbo.
Has anyone here ever swaped rocker arms from a 2.5L or 2.2L N/A before?
If so clearances are marked out as .008 in intake .01 in exhaust, correct?

hydraulic lifters.
people have swapped the rollers from a 1.8, but I've heard the cam profile isn't great, even for an n/a 2.2. A regrind from delta would help but I've pretty much scrapped the idea.

As long as you're not running above 6500 rpm, and have good oil in there, they're fine.

Even Ej18 roller rockers still have the HLA's. I personally think they are a great item. And they can't be that bad if Porsche STARTED using them in 1999...

From my days with Mitsu products...
Changing to the roller rockers (without changing cams) will change both cam profile and timing. Even though the point of contact may be in the same exact location, the way a roller moves comapred to a "slipper" changes both. Something about angular vector and acceleration that is pretty much over my head.
That being said, many Mitsu guys had success just swapping the rockers. There must have been enough of an improvement, because there was a Starion/Conquest guy that had a pretty good side income having cams reground to optimize the roller rocker conversions.

I have roller rockers from a newer year 2.5 engine. I'm not sure which year, and I didn't install them. I just know that I have them. It really smoothed out the idle.
