Air suspension information.

Who has a wagon with air suspension, or has seen the whole setup?

Where does the air supply come from? Is it a belt-driven under-hood compressor? Does it have a tank? What kind of pressures and CFM do they flow? How loud was it?

How quickly would it raise and lower the car?

Info would be great.

From what I understand, the struts were the commonly failing bits, but the compressors were pretty reliable, right?

I want on-board air for my Forester. I've already got a compressor and tank, but if the OEM stuff would work and be nice and quiet and efficient, then I'd like to use it.

IIRC, the compressor is mounted in the fender in front of the front left tire. That would mean it was an electric unit.

You are correct....it's an electric compressor. There may be info on the compressor in the FSM, but I'd have to check. Shoot me an email so I have a reminder.
