so my exhaust is wrote my Boost guage says I cant boost over 3 PSI I hit 4 every once in a blue moon so I need a new up pipe and manifolds, ebays got pretty decent prices on headers and I heard trhe Sti ones and WRX ones will fit I guess Im just double checking .. will all the headers clear our oil pans because the Stis are the same as ours or is there some to watch out for

what??? You are looking for new headers for what reason?

I would be concerned about a vacuum leak in your system or incorrectly connected boost control solenoid if your only hitting 3-4 PSI. Which turbo are you running? Any other mods? CEL's?
The stock turbo up-pipe is catless so there is no reason to change it unless you need an egt bung or something. I made this mistake when i first got the car. The only difference i noticed was it was louder and i lost some low-end power
The manifold shouldnt need to be touched unless your going high power, IE. a rotated setup, even then ive heard mixed reviews. You will also loose the beautiful subie rumble if you go EL headers, which for me is a deal breaker in itself.

well my up pipe is pretty much non existant so unl4ess the turbo is going to spool up on hopes an dreams im going to need somthing... all of the flex joints have broke and I welded them but im tired of micky mouse... I'm 16 an I need to replace them with somthing so the 100$ ebay special seems to be drawing me in... an how would this take away the subaru rumble I cant imagine any type of exhaust taking that away ... its the boxer sound

so basically I need to know if the headers off of an 02-06 Sti will clear my oil pan I dont care about the low end power drop because I do plan to move on someday and id sooner pay 200$ shipped to my door for a set of headers then 75$ at a junkyard so that I can have the same thing happen to me a month from now

the rumble comes from a combination of the unequal length headers and subaru's unique firing order of bank 1/3 then 2/4. Thats why N/A subie boxers w/ the y-pipe dont sound like the turbos do. If your just trying to fix a leaking manifold/uppipe im sure if you make a post in the parts shed for some stock turbo parts you can get them extra cheap, well within your budget. Im 95% sure wrx/sti headers are the same size ID piping as ours, though wrx uppipes have a cat. Oil pan shouldnt be an issue unless you are trying to go with aftermarket equal length headers. Read through this thread if you havent yet.

I don't think they'll fit the heads. Someone else will be able to tell you for sure.

Im looking at a catless version that isnt equal length has about the same set up just less restrictive and better flowing.... Im pretty sure if WRX headers will fit then |STI ones will

Actually it says they fit "APPLCATION : IT WILL FIT ON ALL SUBARU WRX OR STI FROM 2002-2006." Im just not sure about compatibility between the SOHC EJ22 and the DOHC EJ20/EJ25. Im still pretty sure all dual port manifolds are interchangable, anyone else know for sure?

Im pretty sure they are but Im not 100% either... all I know is my leak keeps getting bigger and bigger :(

I've had nothing but good experiences with Frank (Blackbart), he should have what you need for far cheaper

Careful. Newer STi's have a different manifold that won't clear the standard oil pan.
