The plastic housing around the bolts on my timing belt cover are broken so only a few bolts are actually holding it on. I plan on replacing all the cover pieces and gaskets but was wondering if I can do this while the engine is still in. I will be removing the radiator but will that give enough space to work with? Also does anyone know if there is a kit that comes with all the cover pieces and gaskets or do I have to buy each piece separately? Also, is there anything else I should replace while I have the cover off (I'm probably going to replace all the belts)?

You can easily do it with the engine in the car. The only catch is you cannot do it with the timing belt in place. However, it sounds like you plan on replacing that anyways.

I don't know of a kit, but you can usually find what you need for covers at the junkyard for pretty cheap. Then all you need are new gaskets from the stealership...

Thanks, I'll have to hit up the junkyards. As for the gaskets, luckily my neighbor gets a discount on most parts (through his school I believe) so I just order through him.
