okay im trying to decide wether to go with stcok sti injectors or something a little bigger say some 660s or 720s. ive read so many different ratings on the stock 04-06 sti injectors from 400-510cc and think it MIGHT be cutting it close for what im looking for (input and advice would be greatly appreciated if you have something usefull). im looking to be running a good amount of boost and really dont want to overrun my injectors.

for the guys running the stock sti injectors what are you using to control them? it seems like its a considerable bump up from the the factory 370s. honestly since we dont have the aftermarket support that the new age subies have for engine and fuel managment i was just going to be going with a simple safc to control whatever i get unless there is another option that i havent found yet. also if you have any good suggestions id greatly appreciate your input.

mods at this point (powerwise:
mbc
intake
saab tmic (going to be replacing more than likely)
3" turbo back
16g (sent off to deadbolt today for rebuilt and porting)
(sourcing fuel options now)
(ej25 dohc heads swap just sitting/begging to be put on)

The sti yellow injectors are supposed to be 550 cc/min.

That is what I plan to use...if and when i get around to doing anything further.

I have a safc II.... I would highly recommend you buy the emanage ultimate - it has a much larger user base, better reviews, and is less costly when you figure in having to control timing as well....

And, you will have to alter your timing if you get the safc II, because it alters fuel by altering the maf signal.... I have had to alter the signal by 43% with sti yellows and the ecu is advancing the timing to compensate.... I just had to purchase a programmable msd dis2 to fix this problem - cost $300 (I got an INCREDIBLE deal). They normally cost about $500.

The cost of an emanage ultimate is like $700 with everything included. That is an incredible deal compared to a $500 ignition system and a $200 fuel controller where everything change you make has to be done on a separate system.

Ok, and why did you not ask me what I was running when we were chatting?

I have the 565's and we pretty much have the same set-up.

I had rallitek put on the PP6 and it has done a good job of handling the changes.

It is set at 18psi, and I am scheduled for Dom to tackle the PP6 to get a few more ponies out of her this summer.

To be honest, I did a lot of reading on the subject before hand and went with the safc II because of cost and not knowing the timing issue. I read a lot of negative reviews of the pp6.... Plus, I dont have the cash to pay someone else to completely tune the car and tuning is something I am only now trying to wrap my head around.... While doug also recommends the pp6, he has blown more than one motor while running it. I understand its all in the tune, but it doesnt speak well for the unit either... The safc II is easily end user tuned and was cheap. The unit is so simple to set properly and will not result in a blown motor....

Should I have gotten the emanage ultimate? Probably - is it too late to switch over now? Probably not, but first Im going to give the safc II and msd a chance.

ahahah i couldve asked you about a million more questions but some just slipped my mind and like you said i dont think either of our ladies wouldve appreciated us talking for cars for a few hours while they waited in the cars.

ive heard that a few people are running the pp6 and are having some difficulties with it for one reason or another a few of which are on this site.

i think im going to go with an emanage blue after a bunch of stuff i read last night. basically from the sounds of it for what im looking to do the only thing im going to be needing is
1. emanage blue control box
2. injector harness
3. ignition harness
4. support tool and cd
all of which at list price is $600 (which nobody pays) so im assuming i can get the complete kit for $400 or so. i really like the fact that ill be able to do the tuning myself more like utec when i had the wrx. also not bad considering i was going to spend somewhere between $150 (used) - $300 (new) on a safc and still have the downfall of no ignition timing :(. if i do decide i NEED to do more tuning paramiters ill only have to buy another adapter thats $20-$30. i think the ultimate is a little overkill for what im shooting for but if i can find a deal on one ill probably swipe it up instead since it has more features (maf delete being one im really intersted in!).

i also read into the power fc a little bit and although it sounds pretty similar to the emanage (but with a handheld display) im shying away from it for a few other reasons. tech support in the community is a big one amongst subaru guys and ej22t guys even more so.

The emanage blue is only capable of altering the fuel signal by 20% - how are you going to get the car to idle?

isnt that on the factory idc? meaning i can add or subtract upto 20% of the fuel in any of the 5 determind rpm settings (with just the basic function of the system). with the injector harness you are able to up your injector size by 150% over the factory (555cc if i did my math right using 370cc as the original injector size).

am i looking into this the wrong way?

Nico, autronic is expensive. In fact, your autronic probably cost more than my entire build......
