I have been wanting to convert my interior to a factory looking satin black color for quite some time now. I want it to last, and look fairly stock. Has anybody had any experience with interior vinyl/plastic paint? How about carpet dye? What are some of your thoughts?

My friends dad is doing a restoration on an old camaro, and he picked up this paint for his door cards. Straight up vinyl paint....
i saw the finished product and touched it, still compresses like our dashboards would if you pushed on it with your finger, but doesnt crack. he said it was about 3x the price of normal paint... but it looks AWESOME. ($12 a can instead of $4)
i'll see if i can get the exact name, but he got it from an automotive paint place. ..... and first hand, it looked great!!!!
