ignitor dead AGAIN

Long story short, I though I blew a piston - compression test was good.
Car wouldnt move under its own power 2 weeks ago and now it does. Its still running rough.
I *believe* its my ignitor....
Anyone have a clue why the ignitor would repeatedly die?
This ignitor I also machined a heat sink for to keep the heat off of it... I cant believe it died again....
Am I just going to have to extend the harness over?
Any other reasons other than heat that the ignitor would die?
