Boston Craigs List (Maybe Turbo) Wagon $1500 looks FANTASTIC

Post by Soul Shinobi »

I've been looking for an Impreza for my friend and I found this:

http://boston.craigslist.org/nwb/car/377244269.html

I have a 1993 legacy 132k , its lowered with coil overs . 17 inch wheels with low profile tires. 5 spd 2.2 liter awd. paint is faded on roof and hood . Car is pretty fast for a 4 banger wagon and handles like its on rails. cd player with ipod connection and power everthing moonroof to. its my daily driver .

LOOK AT IT! This is the first time I haven't thought the the first gen Legacy wagons are ugly--it look amazing! There must be something dreadfully wrong with it for that price!

Apparently what's wrong is the owner thinks it's a 4-banger wagon and nothing more.

It doesn't say that it is a turbo model...and it has an NA grill...

I just emailed him and asked if it's a touring wagon or not.

I was hasty to assume it was a turbo--I'm anxious to find out.

from the antenna being on the A pilar driver side, and not on the RR quarter, it is not a touring.
and the door handles are not color coded.
no turbo here

Damn it! Or well, so we think--it may have been swapped, I'll wait before editing the topic title.

I doubt it's been swapped. He probably just put a big STI scoop on it. Location is Lowell. Probably pretty beat, too. No pics of the interior, I see.

Yeah it also occurred to me that it could have NO interior to speak of, but it was a daily driver.

Those rims look odd because i can't see the tire. a stock wagon with those 15" alloys looks awesome! I like my 93 legacy with hub caps XD I think it looks very good BTW.

I recently took my three hubcaps off so that the brakes could breath a bit more. The car actually looks better to me with no hubcaps than is does missing one. o_O

HOLY SHIT..........That's my old wagon!!!!!!! it's non-turbo, and the guy is an ass. the car was in great shape up til 122k, after that it was probably beat. by the way, the guy traded a car with me(to remain unnamed) and a week later returned to his car to steal his old radio back, and my sub box w/ 3: 10" JL's. obviously he was impossible to find after that. I did alot of maintainence on it when I had it, and replaced the front fenders. The paint is "faded", because I spray painted the whole car. The only thing I see he did, is put tint on it, and the scoop. Other than that everything was me.

Yup, that sounds like someone from Lowell (or Lawrence, or Lynn - be wary of a MA city that starts with an L).

Yeah, it was mine before him. we're not too far apart. also forgot to tell you guys that the car is "TMU" or true mileage unknown. I got it for free, from my old boss. I also think that the car is in woburn, because that's where he lived when we traded cars. it's weird that it says nashua, and lowell. :?

Oh yeah, the "coilovers" he speaks of were some ebay honda civic coilovers that I modified to fit on the car.
