Double sided tape. It's what most modern trim and badges are attached with. An auto parts store should have a roll of it. A hardware store may also have it, but if you're not familiar with the right kind, you may get the wrong stuff.

Go into a jobber and ask for badge adhesive.

I would recommend staying away from 3M trim & emblem adhesive.

It melts paint. Seriously.

hmm. I did the same, got "legacy" badges from a 91, and hot glued them to my 92SS rear sides under the quarter windows. One has held for over a year, the other side fell off in the first month, but it fell off when the car was sitting. so i still have that badge in my glovebox.

wow thanks for the fast replies.. i didnt even know that there was such a thing as badge adhesive.. looks like i wont be using hot glue (bheinen74)

i just hope the parts that i cut to fit into the small little spaces of the legacy name will be enough to hold it

Hot glue needs to be redone every so often. The styrene teeth I had in my '84 were hot glued inside the grille. They stayed in at 85 in snowstorms, but had to be checked and reglued every few months so they wouldn't fall out.

Fly,
Glad they worked out. Now the unknowing won't have to ask what it is as often, right?
