It's very unlikely to be the proper 3.9:1 ratio.

If you can source the proper trans, it should bolt in just fine.

You could swap your 3.9 ring and pinion into this also.

I am pretty sure it is different gearing. Doesn't the ring and pinion from your old diff still work in that one?

wat would the gearing be? i'll give up a little off the line accel for a lsd :)

It's probably got 4.11's. Maybe 4.44's

You'd have to give up more than just a 'little off the line' if you want this LSD. Different tranny with the correct gears, or change the ring and pinion (not sure if that will work). You can't run different gear ratios in the front and rear.

the way to tell wat gear ratio it is is by check the sticker. i asked them for a pic of the rear of the diff to see wat it is

Im not sure that diff will actually work with our cars, after doing some research into various axle types and such for my own diff swap (STI R180)

Apparently that diff is a direct bolt in to a 2.5RS, and I know from practical experience that legacy axles do not physically fit into RS hubs, they're about 3mm wider

That leads me to believe that if these axles fit an RS, they will be too small for USDM legacy hubs.
