New issues - can anyone help

Post by Tleg93 »

So I got my car back from the tranny shop....yay. But now I have issues I didn't have before. I looked things over but I haven't found anything yet. I don't have any active codes but I have two stored codes and some weird behavior. Tell me what you think. The codes are 32 and 45 (pressure sensor and O2 sensor) plus I have a blinking seatbelt light. The car is running like shit on and off boost. I got all kinds of air flowing into the throttle body but I have no power and the car shudders like mad. It acts like it's not getting fuel but you can smell fuel under the hood.

If you can smell fuel under the hood, I would suspect that it is a broken fuel line.

What did they do to the car at the TRANNY shop?
Did they have the trans out of the car? Did they do it like most shops and do it from the bottom? Or did they do it like I do and yard the motor as wel as the trans?

The transmisison shop pulled and rebuilt the tranny. I'm prett sure the approached it from the bottom but they did take the intake apart. There was an issue with the resonator. Honestly, I've just been so bummed that I haven't made time to go look at it. I have Vikash's vaccum layout. I'm going to have a go at it tomorrow. It's probably something simple.

When you say "They had the intake apart" I assume you mean the intake snorkel and the like not the actual intake, right?

If this is the case then I would DEFINATELY check to see if one of the vacuum hoses is not connected or they have something backwards.

Yeah, they had the intake track apart because the nipple on the bottom of the resonator broke off. I suspec they put it back together wrong but there's something else going on. I recently soldered in a fuel pump connector and I'm wondering if the fuel pump isn't dying. I press the accelerator down and sometimes nothing happens, like it's not fueling. But I would think the fuel pump would either work or not work.

Pressure and O2 prolly run off the same ground as their on that side of the bay.

O2 will probablly just throw a code, but pressure will seriouslly make it run funky. If your sure the ground is good, check manifold pressure lines, and if you cant find it, take it back and make them fix it!

I fixed it. There were some vaccum hoses that were incorrectly attached and the turbo compressor outlet wasn't secure. I also removed the air compressor from the car and fixed the seatbelt light. All that remains is the sunroof, exhaust, and axle and that's to get me to a steady state. After that there's boost control, wheels, body, fuel pump, hood scoop, paint job and reupholstery.
