Need Help Fast....pulley rubbing on plastic cover

I installed a light weight pulley from my 98 2.2L N/A on my 91 SS 2.2 T....I was told it was compatible.
The pulley looked like it slid in too close to the plastic cover.
Today after driving for an hour... I noticed the pulley is grinding into the plastic cover fairly deep.
There are also aluminum shavings all over from the pulley grinding off....HELP
What should I do...is it normal to rub....Should I go back to stock....Is the 2.2L n/a pulley not compatible with the 2.2L t?
Need anwers before something gets really screwed up.

normal to rub? no. either go back to stock or modify your cover so no rubbing occurs, or buy a part designed for the car.

I was told the part was the same....98 2.2 n/a vs 91 2.2 T
Is that incorrect?
Will this cause any more damage then just rubbing?
I am planning on fixing it...but it might be a couple of days
I just want to make sure it will not cause major damage in the next day or two.
Thanks

do the belts look misaligned? if they are it would be torquing on the other pulleys which could cause damage.

your getting metal shavings from it rubbing on the plastic cover?
if its rubbing on the cover just grid off the lip on the center cover

I think the metal shavings are from the pulley... being ground into the plastic cover which is not a good thing considering it will weaken the pulley and it might break while driving it... so personally i would just go back to stock. Lightened pulleys don't do much anyways IMO

Its an aluminum lightened pulley rom a 98 2.2 legacy.
Belts are on correctly and tightened...the pulley looked close before any belts went on.
It is rubbing the plastic pretty hard....and the amount of shavings are minimal...it could be just the silver finish off the backside of the crank pulley....the only reason you can see it b/c the engine is black and the pulley is silver.
Is there a difference in the pulley system between the 91 2.2L T and 98 2.2L n/a?
