Well...I got in a situation last night with my GC and AGX rear suspension install. I got free top mounts for (we didn't know what, and I just got omy 91 SS and was not familiar with thestrut tops) Impreza maybe. Anyway, at Midnight I discover the tops are wrong and already uncompressed the strut assembly. I need the car in the AM so I start to retrofit some available components....mainly the stock rear tops, on top of the new GC top hats....separated with a custom (made last night) rubber gasket.
I was skeptical but it worked. Handles great right now....I'm not pushing it untill I get the right top mounts.

Absolutely free and you receive 1gb of space. All the forums accept that as a valid location to view photos from (some sites will not show up unless the forum owner allows it).

Thaks...I will take pics later today after the correct top mounts are installed....going to start on that now...
I'll put the pisc in the Gallery area....
This will be just the begining of a hopefully long and serious transformation of the car....
I am also working on a comprehensive outline for the different stages of modificatons and tuning....I will need all of the experienced guys to give me feedback so I choose the best route for my SS

You will need an acute sense of search!

Not to sound like a dick here, but you are searching for the answers to all the questions you are going to be asking. There is nothing you are going to do to your car in the next $10,000 that somebody here hasn't already done and written about.
I am curious to see where your car goes, don't get me wrong.

hence my above statement. You don't NEED anyone to tell you what to do, you need to search, read what others HAVE done and then choose which route works for you. You need an acute sense of "search"!

All I have done was post how I used the stock top mounts off my 91 SS with the Ground Contro a statement...not really a question.l unit....I made a statement and not a question.

I just did a search for ground control, and very little comes up. If you were going to rag on him for not searching you should have done it two weeks ago.
Only a few people have actually gone with this setup, and it's not like part numbers and install directions and all the variations of springs and tops for this specific setup have been all put together in one place clearly.
I am hoping that macipusy will put all this together in a coherent post with images for future reference, since currently it's strewn amongst 7 other threads. Also, if you do a nice write-up of the whole process, put it here and not in the pictures section.

I was going to take the final photos tonight...but my JDM grille was a failure....maybe tomorrow.
Thanks for the help guys...the setup is great....I really dig the height adjustability.

Next up will be a complete bushing replacement, rear sway bar, F&R endlinks and PSRS....I chose to go all Perrin for the all red, with some yellow from the whiteline trailing and lateral link bushings.
Maybe it will handle okafter that

is this soppose to be positive or negative? I am not some ricer boy who just posts without searching and a care in the world. I search for all these things....since there is no parts usuall specifically for our cars, sometimes there is a lot of contradictions to what some people have done vs others.. I have owned a 98 BG 2.2 N/A and built that up to a nice sport wagon.....I have never studied the first gen Legacies and only had mine for a month. Sometimes having a car for years makes certain things seem obvious (for example on a secon gens I can tell all the subtle differences in year models. Since I am new to these Legs, I don't see some of subtleties that are obvious to the more experienced old skoolers.
Sorry to be a noob...I am just used to a larger forum where a small change in topic warranties a new post.....I'll try to consolidate my stuff into fewer subjects.
Sorry and thanks for the helpful info since I got my car.

^^^ No offense was meant in my initial statement about searching. I've been on the boards for a while and I know that a lot of the questions that have been asked in other forums have been covered extensively. This one may not have been and judging from Jamal's words - it hasn't. It was a more generalized statement and I am geuininly interested in where you take your car as you seem to have a lot of time, money, and interest to invest in making one of these first gens into the machine it is capable of being.
