06 STi footwork on a 92 SS?

I tried to do the right thing and search. I read the stickies and even tried to make sense of the compendium, which is totally sweet. But I still don't really know so I am hoping someone will know and be so kind as to tell me.....

Can any or all of the 06 STi suspension be easily put into my 92 SS?

A local guy is listing his Springs, Struts and Tophats for pretty cheap and it got me thinking I'd really like a better suspension set-up.

TIA

nope. 05+ sti struts don't fit anything else. The 04 stuff, which I'm using, fits with a bit of work and causes a loss of negative camber.

Thanks for the quick reply Jamal!

I guess I will wait for a while longer....

How about the springs? I'm guessing Andrew is seeing the same thing I am - there's a lot of 06 STi stuff popping up on NASIOC and our suspension compendium does not cover much of the 06 stuff, though admittedly I have not read the whole thing in a few weeks.

Yes, the springs stayed the same and would fit a 90-91. IMO they are too stiff for stock struts or GR2s though.

The compendium could definitely use an overhaul and scott hasn't posted in months.

I guess I could start working on something.

Word. So I'd need tophats and mounts for 93'. I'm thinking springs for AGX's.

And if you wanted to take over overhauling the compendium, more power to you, but for the most part it still takes care of most of the questions that get asked.

I'm not entirely sure what would happen to the ride height if you put 04+ springs on AGXes with 90-91 tops. I think maybe it would be jacked up in the front.

I think Jamal should overhaul the sticky. The suspension forum is like his baby anyways.
