Swaping stock 90 lego stereo

So im chucking the stock stereo system, baught some rockford fosgate speakers for the front. The stock speakers are shaped in such a way that i cant just stick the new ones on- Ill need to put in a wood donut or something . any one come across a problem like this , perhaps some plans?

Go to Crutchfield.com , they carry the adapters we need, or search on Ebay, there was a guy making them out of presswood a few years ago...

I used nylon spacers and extra long screws with washers to install my Alipne Type R's

If you're talking about the metal standoff things in the front door panels, there is an easy fix. Drill the old welds out so you can use the metal standoff with the new speakers. Then drill new holes, which will work for your new speakers. Cut off screws which are too long and you're set. I replaced all the speakers in my car about a month ago.

Well the stocks are like an inch or two less in diameter, so i would only be able to screw in two, maybe three screws- on one side of the speaker.
Didnt find anything on ebay, nothin for my year subi anyways. And crutchfiled has some, but by the picture it looks like it doesnt have the elevation change i need
