I got rid of the wagon
now I picked up an AWD sedan (94)
now all i have to figure out is:
Stiff Shifter (automatic)
shaky speedo
no turn signals (hazards work)
and a ticking sound from under hood
at least it only has 135k on it, fairly rust free, sunroof, ABS, and AWD

Could you elaborate more on the ticking sound from the hood? it starts to click around 2900 rpm is yours like that as well?

If you hear the 'clicking' at idle I'd say its in need of an oil change. If the sound gets worse as the rpms get higher, you've got a bigger problem. Other than that, subies have a noisier valvetrain than most other cars.
If your turn signals don't work, but you have hazards, you might need to check your blinker relay and connections.

yeah, I'm assuming it's just old oil. car has been sitting for about a year.
it's at the shop now, hopefully everything checks out alright and then I'll start getting the car in shape
