Plug wires fixes other problem

There has been alot said about how abrupt our cars are on trottle transitions. Mine was very bad, but I put it down to normal after reading about it.

I ran through some water at a low water crossing that really messed up the car with all the missing and popping going on. I figured it had to be plug wires and got the best set that O'reilly had. They fixed the problem, but I also noticed how much smoother the car was right off idle and when I took it for a drive the herky jerkys were gone.

I wish I had done this when I put new plugs in. If anybody has any doubts about their wires or you can't stand the abruptness of the throttle, then put a good set of plug wires on. It made mine a new vehicle.

How much did those wires cost?

I replaced my wires & plugs last Xmas and was shocked at what a big difference they made for the hesitation/jerkiness.

BUT

I still feel like the car is not as smooth as a "normal" vehicle.

Could it be that I would notice even more improvement with top O' the line wires?

These were O'reilly top of the line wires which ran $22 something. I did find sets for $40, but O'reilly was closer and cheaper. The wires were Borg Warner wires.

I know from family experience that the O' reilly store brand wires aren't worth going to pick up, even with the lifetime warrantee.
