I laugh when rs peeps say their old school...blah blah blah.....hell the BC-BF crowd isn't old school.
The 80's subies plowed the way for what subaru is today......I think if they got rid of all the people on nasioc that acted like they were 12......there would be a grand total of maybe 58 people on there *crickets chirping*

Ciper,
One word - "Maturity"
Most of those people would not even recognize a BC/BF even if it mopped the floor with them.
Let them be in their WRX centric world, as I am sure most of the people here know more about Subaru's, their heritage, and how it all works than all the WRX owners
Many of them don't even know the car their dad bought for them is an Impreza.
I know that Legacy owners are the underdog, but I am happy to be left alone. And take the perfectly good parts they discard as they "upgrade"
And you know that in Japan, the Legacy outsells the Impreza, in the performance arena.

And......
If I remember correctly, the Impreza is just a shortened Legacy.
So, if I were in japan and had the full range of cars Subaru offers there - why would I shortened lower horsepower one?
Sorry, But I would have an e-tune - no silly boy racer for me..

Recently in the legacy forum on I-club a member posted how the legacy outsells the impreza by some insane amount in japan. It seems only in the US are the tables so completly turned.

I threw some love into that thread. I didn't know about it being the first group-N car to finish Safari. I knew the time/speed record of 138-ish Mph over 447 hours thing tho, so I tossed it in there

That's correct. As a matter of fact, NO Subaru for sale today would exist without the BC-BF Legacy. The Impreza was developed from that platform, the Outback is simply a tougher moniker given to a special edition Legacy or Impreza, and the Forester is an Impreza platform...
We are the fathers of the modern Subaru!

Actually the platforms are relatively close in size. The newer legacies may be a tad longer. I thought the BC-BF legacies are the same length as the imprezas for their time.....or so I thought.

Funny,
As much as I like my BH, I let my wife drive it..
If I could walk into the dealer and get a new BF - perhaps with a turbo, manual. I would tomorrow.
In two years I will.....
Have my BF rebuilt
