Massive Air trouble w/ my Meter reader!!!!!!!!!!!

My mass air flow meter is starting to hummm. Is it going out and can it make my car overheat by throwing off the a/f ratio. I've noticed some spark knocking and the motor trys to overheat when I run it hard. If it's not the mass air making my car try to overheat where's the best place to start trouble shooting. I have a N/A fwd 90 legacy 5spd that is stock.

Likely head gaskets on their way out.

I can't find any vacuum leaks, so what's causing my mass air meter to hum. Also, my car is not wanting to start if I get it the least bit warm and once it does it won't idle down...I got major problems...sooby gurus help me!!!!!!!!!!!

You're going to get some humming from the intake, that's normal. Are you hearing electrical humming/buzzing?

With your last post, I'd suggest replacing your coolant temp sensor before you do anything else.

that's cheap enough, I wonder if my compression ratio is low enough for a turbocharger
