how much should someone pay for an 06/07 wrx tmic?

would $200 be excessive?

Yes. Generally I've seen them go for around $100-$120.

Is someone you know asking $200 for one??

I paid 75 for my wrx TMIC. If they're all the same part, just manufactured later, why would one pay more simply because it was more recently manufactured?

I picked mine up from an eBay auction for $42 + shipping. Just gotta look real hard for the good deals. You also have to be patience and watch multiple auctions of the same item. Certain ones will spike up, others will stay flat and you can get stuff cheap.

the 06/07 ones are different than the 02-05 ones.

Agreed, from everyone's experience, the '06+ has been easier to install w/o bashing up the firewall due the change in physical measurements.

If you don't mind a little bashing, then you can find '02-'05 TMIC's for pretty cheap. You're usually going to pay more for the '06+ TMIC's due to them being newer & less "used".
