Clunking?KNocking

I have been MIA for a bit, mainly due to the fact every time I come on here all I see is stuff I really want to do to my car. I had to stop coming because my will is weak and was starting to look at things for the car that I couldn't afford. But I have a new noise and am not going to be able to run the car to a mech for a bit. It happens when turning right and accelerating, it almost sounds like a knocking under the front right wheel or possibly under the hood somewhere. I have looked and couldn't see anything out of place to an untrained eye. If I turn right and just coast through the turn there is no sound. It doesn't happen when turning left and has only happened on a straight away once. Any ideas, oh and it's a 93 Legacy L, AT with 147K+ on it.
Thanks again Guys.

That sound is typically the result of a blown CV's boot that has lost all of it's grease. Check your right front stub axle and examine the boots on the CV's especially.
You should also check the wheel bearing on the corner as well. If you don't know how; simply jack that corner up, place your hands at the 12 'o clock and 6 'o clock positions on the tire and try wobbling the wheel.
Do the same at the 3 'o clock and 9 'o clock positions as well. But be weary that if you get play at 3 and 9 it may be your steering rack, not your wheel bearing.
And for the hell of it you might want to check the other wheel in the same fashion. Sometimes your wheel bearings can wear out and the heat generated by a faulty bearing can seize the out bearing race to the upright. It is expensive to replace both so you want to catch it in time.

ball joints are suspect too
our 90 did that, clunked like an axle. so we assumed it was until the balljoint broke in the middle of a 3 point turn in front of our house

My '90 wagon has started clunking in turns and over some bumps (speed bumps, etc) after being parked from mid-July until mid- October. I know the right outer boot is split, and I have the shaft to replace it, but it doesn't sound like the CV joint that went out on my Honda many years ago...
Gonna run it in the garage next weekend and swap the shaft and check out the rest of the suspension while I'm there. How many grease fittings on each side??

I dont think theres any zerks on the front of a subaru. Yeah, as long as its all oem parts, there shouldnt be any grease fittings.

Subaru has a TSB out for sway bar mount brackets (not the end links) making a clunking/poping noise, they say to take the mounts off bend the locating tabs to a 90 degree angle in relation to the bracket and putting grease on the non-bushing contact surfaces. Could also be the strut top bearings

So thanks again guys, I dropped the car off at the mechanic on wednesday night, he looked at it yesterday and found nothing. He could barely get the car to make the noise(always the case) but to be on the safe side he checked everything that could be dangerous and everything seemed ok. So who knows, maybe if it gets worse he will be able to hunt it down.
