So I just got my FL license today (after being here for a whole two months) and I also need to get a rap sheet.
As some of you know, I have a pretty lengthy history of traffic-related violations back home.
What I'm aiming for right now is to get a driving abstract from the State of Florida that shows I have no infractions here.
Does anyone know if they shit follows from state to state, as far as driving records go? How long would it take for that information to catch up to me and be available for reporting?

Do you have any criminal driving violations?

Those would show up on your record most certainly

Some states supposedly transfer, like up here NH and CT are supposed to show up for MA, but they don't. I've known several people with tickets in both and neither state followed them home. I have six out-of-state tickets (NY, MI, VA, PA, WY) and none of them followed me.

I'd be really surprised if WA reported to FL. seems like its usually a bordering states thing.

And dude...quit driving like such an asshat...

my moms bf got a speeding and parking ticket in Texas last month, his car was broken into that night and oddly enough the only things stolen were his tickets (no joke), even though he had his cd collention, his phone, and several other expensive items in plain view

a few days later when he made it back to Kentucky he called and said he had his tickets stolen, and they said "Well thats no problem, we'll give you the adress to mail the check to."
im not sure if they would have done anything if he hadn't of called though

...as for me i have yet to get pulled over once :-D , though i suppose ive had some VERY close calls that would have taken my liscence had i been pulled over

Well, I'll let nick's comment go, cuz it was probably well-meant, although I'm damn good at controlling my vehicle as it is, I still have much to learn. Nick, when did you ever ride in my car? I remember riding in yours, though.

And no, I haven't even come close to earning a reckless. My one and only criminal violation comes from an incident outside a Tampa Bay sportsbar/nightclub.

Yes, it's for employment, and for the record: Your infractions don't follow you! Yay!
The only cool thing about Florida is what's usually the worst part of any state: Their DMV.
My mama/gf made me an appt and I showed up, documents in hand. I was promptly seated with someone at a desk! I got to choose which picture I liked,( we took about 3 and picked ) and even got my real card on the spot. WA takes one shitty pic, no matter how it turns out, and then gives you a paper one as a temp to cover the nearly 3wk waiting period for them to print your real license. I was in and out in a flash, but without everything I needed from them. Apparently the Driver's License Divisions here don't give out abstracts or driver's transcripts at all. You have to go thru the state website ( which is what I did ) or goto a county court office.
But I was in and out in a flash, new license in hand! Yay for Florida DMV!

Bad news bears for you, if you get a job where you need to drive, credible employers run a background check that WILL turn up your history across state lines AFAIK.

true.

Since you are from WA Tristan, they are going to run this state and find whatever lurks in your file here.

Whatever you do: don't lie on any job paperwork/interview.

But I also in your case do not recommend giving any extra info either.
