i am going to be installing new struts this week and i need to know how to get the rear seats out of my '94 SS.

i have figured out how to get the fold down parts out but not the rest of the seat that is blocking access to the rear strut towers.

is it as simple as pulling the bottom seat cushion and then lifting it off.

Huh? you have to take the bottom part off to gain access to the bolts that attach the back of the seat.

Undo the two bolts above the floor, unhook the bottom seat, undo the three bolts at the bottom of the seat backt, remove seat.

I have the 60/40 and you just remove the two obvious bolts under the lower cushion and push back and down to remove it...

Then remove the 3 (i think) bolts that hold the bottom of the backrest down then fold down the seats and then lift it up to detach it from the hook on top...

And whalah! pull it out and ur done!

just pulled them out.

and it was just that easy.

however, one tip. dont forget to release the 60/40 fold down sections before you try to pull the seat back out. :smt017
