wrx or sti strut/springs on a 1998L ?

I know the info is in here but I would greatly appreciate any quick links to some crossover knowledge. First is kind of out of this vintage realm, but I have a 1998 legacy L wagon and it needs new struts. Seem to have wrx and sti parts on local craigslist but need to know what will fit. Equally I have a 91 legacy L that is eventually going rallyx, struts are good now but will be doing upgrades later.
Thanks for any help, great site, gets me all ramped up to get out and race a little.

02-07 Impreza RS/TS/2.5i/WRX struts springs and tops will be a direct bolt on swap for you. 05+ sti parts do not fit.

The problem, though, is that you have a wagon. If you put impreza or sedan stuff on your car the rear will be saggy. Using impreza wagon stuff will help slightly but you'll still have sag.

Additionally impreza sedan struts will cause a loss of negative camber.

would using impreza springs on a legacy lower or raise the ride height at all?

Well, I put '03 WRX springs on my Leggy and if lifted it about an inch and ahalf... only in the rear to.

Great for snow... I mean FANTASTIC!
