Hybrid Turbo Wagon

Tonight we drank enough wine to get to the threshold of brilliance--I'm thinking of putting the fans ahead of the rad--then when not actuated by the thermostat for cooling, the air flow will turn them like a windmill, which will then feed electricity into the circuits.
I'm sure someone on the board can provide advice on the circuitry.
This will take the otherwise politically incorrect process of turning complex hydrocarbons into fabulous sounds and motion into correct carbon credits.
This could be the equivalent of at least one and a half people's worth of guilt about just living on this poor planet.
It is great to be on a mission.

drunk possting is no good. but im no good either cause i have had enough to pull brilliance out of the local community college. anyway i have toyed with the idea of a turbo hybrid myself, its a great great great idea. i would love a subaru hybrid not to mention a subaru turbo hybrid. i know subaru has built a Turbo Hybrid, but it never went into porduction. from what i remember it was in the B9 scrambler(that convertable thing). what i have gathered is, subarus biggest problem with hybrid technology is the transmission. obviously auto, but how would theirs work?

It wouldn't be a hybrid just because you put a little more power into the battery. You would also need something to sense the extra power and shut down the alternator accordingly for there to be a benefit.
The only good idea in a hybrid car is the stop/start feature which will probably make its way into most cars in a few years. If you have a manual, you could rig a circuit up for that, but I don't know how long your starter would last if you use it often as the cars designed for it have heavy-duty units. The best way to mileage isn't the one-step-back-two-steps-forward hybrid, but good aerodynamics and light weight combined with some of the intelligent accessory drivers that BMW is using on some of their non-hybrid cars (like water pumps and alternators that only work when needed and under cruise, plus regenerative braking to eliminate the alternator being used even further) combined to a very efficient diesel. 60 mpg out of a 3300 lbs car with very average aerodynamics.

In the cold light of day, I might have been having a "perpetual motion" moment.
After all, such inspirations should not just be the privilege of the left or of those in government.

you could just import a car, half the cars in Europe get 50mpg, and they still make decent on power
i dont see how making your fans into windmill like generators could help you at all, they wouldnt supply near enough engergy to power the car, and so you couldnt really fix a clutch to your alternator to disengage it since your still going to always be needing it
i think all youll acomplish (if anything) is several blown fuses
but i might be wrong, im no eletrician
