You have to guess the exact location, I will post more pics as needed in the Misc. Forum.
(unless the Mods don't mind me keeping it here)

hey frank you are traveling with a partner right?

have a good time. when you get back or if you don't leave till a few days in december i will bring the sunroof and the alternator as well.

have a great time. I look forward to seeing the pictures. so you may have to wait till you get back.

fixed the truck up right. turned out to be a bad air flow meter. the gas milage is up at 17-19 MPG. not to bad for an ML 55.

be well and look forward to hearing from you on your return.

Bepa. p.s. son and granddaughter are coming my way this xmas.

if your ever get a chance go for a ride in one. I can run with the best of them. have set a few driver back a step or two.

but the best part is if you travel along 95 between new york and south carolina, keep an eye out for an ML 55 towing a subie ususally. and at or about 95 MPG. IT'S BLACK AND THAT WOULD BE ME PASSING YOU.

BUT YEA IT'S QUICK. tested a new ML63. but the milage is down to 14-15 highway.

on the other end I have had it out to 145. fed was riding with me. but what a ticket if I was stopped.

if you are not sure how quick they run, go to a m.b. dealer and make an appointment for a test drive. if you saw how I dress going into the dealer and still I get a loaner and test drive most new models. all this and I look like I can't buy a cup of coffee. this is in the manhattan dealership to boot.

oh and I work for a living. not to say no one else does. just I am a sallaried employee. work all O.T. i can.

be well and safe quick driving. bepa

frank when I read that members were trying to guest your location, I did not wish to take the fun out of it.

I am sure you are having a great time. were you were to hang up with a travel partner?

how long was the flight? bet the weather is unreal as well.

can not see picture due to filters on job. when you get back I will bring S/R, and alternation out to you and see them in person.

be well and enjoy every day of it. Bepa

Well, I made it back in one piece, my daughter was not so lucky, got a broken nose.
I was on the island of San Cristobal in the Galapagos. Although Equator acquired the islands a while back from Spain, the answer I was looking for was "Galapagos".
(Saying that Equator is the Galapagos is like saying Hawaii is America.)
I am going to post a bunch of pics in the misc. forum as soon as I get them off of my camera and onto a site.
It took me 40 hours to get there from the time I left my house to the time I got onto San Cristobal.
The trip back was similar but only 36 hours; small boat, pickup truck, bus, barge, bus, four planes (six take-offs & landings) and a car.

glad to hear everything went good. sure you had the trip of a life time.

soory to hear about the broken nose. yet it is not the worst that could happen.

as soon as I can get out to you I will bring the alternator and the s/r. have them waiting just need a little time to drive them out to you. to big and the cost to ship I would rather bring them and hear about your trip.

be well and see you soon. Bepa

p.s. sold the 97 GT for $3500. so sorry I did but I may be getting a 2 car shop to work out of.
