4EAT No shift into 4th until warmed up?

Hey guys, I just started driving an 94SS that I bought over the summer. I've made it the winter driver and I'm having some weird transmission issues.
When I first drive it in the morning, it doesn't want to shift into 4th. For about 3 miles, it'll stay in third even when I'm consistently doing 55. I can move the shifter from D to 3 and nothing happens. Once it's apparently "warmed up" it'll finally go into 4th, but the RPM's are still a bit high. After about 8 miles, you can feel another slight shift and the RPM's drop down to normal 4th gear OD RPM's (changes from about 2500k to 2100k @ 55mph)
The car only has 110k miles on it, and I never really drove it over the summer to see if this is just a cold weather issue. I'm guessing that there isn't enough line pressure in the trans to make the car shift correctly and that I should probably check my tranny fluid levels, but this is my only auto legacy and I haven't messed with anything other than 5MT's. Ideas?
