will all the rear suspension, crossmemnder and gas tank from a 91 legacy SS fit into a FWD impreza?

i would imagine that you would need an AWD Impreza gas tank and a either a Impreza main driveshaft or modify the SS part.

a friend that has a line on a cheap ss dirvetrain is considering doing the swap.

the floor pan on the impreza is so close to the ss, and the suspension is pretty much the same, struts are a little diff, but they can be made to work. rear saddle will bolt right up. CVs are same length, use the rear hubs and breaks from the ss. with a wiring diagram, I would just make the SS harness work the engine, fairly standalone, and leave most of the impreza wiring in the car for the lights and dash. ooh, good question, does anyone know if the speedo cable will work?

is it a 5spd impreza? if so, you might want to source a 5spd tranny, with the pedal set and master already in the car, it would be a shame to take it all out for an auto!
