My XT is sold :-(

It's not gone, but the guy just paid me for it. He can't pick it up tonight, but he will in a couple weeks.

No, I did not just sell it to anybody.

The new owner is an instructor at Skip Barber racing school, and has previous experience with XTs: i.e., the yellow XT that ran in the 2005 Grassroots Motorsports challenge used to be his.

I made the mistake of driving it Sunday to verify everything was okay on it, and now I'm going to miss it. Badly. A lot of memories will be leaving with that car.

But it's going to a better home. I simply am not up to the task of giving it the attention it deserves.

:(

And they're so rare now. With their low CD and an EJ22 swap they'd be an excellent commuter.

I sold my XT6 a few months back. It had 90k miles and the lady gave me 300.

you dont need a swap. I get 30mpg city/freeway combined with my turbo.

Yeah, but I personally don't like the OHC EA engine.

Car is gone. I just watched it drive away.

It hurt more than I thought it would. I honestly had a hard time seeing it go. The 79 wasn't that big of a deal, but I had a fair amount of attachment to this one.

:(

At least I still have my Legacy. That's my real baby anyway.

I will likely have a new car within the next week. Grandparents are aware that I'm down to one car, which is at 181k and needing more and more work.

I'm still leaning toward the Fit, but I'm not 100% settled on it yet.

So stay tuned.

AWD doesn't make it float.

But the rear driveshaft IS easily converted to run a propellor, though! ;)

You'd have to prevent the front wheels from turning. Sizing the prop would be an interesting exercise.

its possible if they can make rv's that are amphibious.
i mean, why would you want an amphibious RV?
i'd rather buy a hummer and do all that stuff to it.
just a thought
