Prefer '91 5speed but anything's an option. Body condition not really important to me, but must be a complete runner/driver. My budget is $1000, but looking in the $500 range. I know this isn't a typical WTB, I just miss having a turbo so bad! Let me know what's out there! I've been searching Craigslist and Ebay for a while now and have come up empty. Help!

Deals are out there, I just have to find one! There are quite a few little old ladies driving these that have no idea there are people like us that are willing to snatch up their "old lady cars".

I bought a 91 sport sedan auto for 1000$. It was running but the transmission was slipping so bad you couldnt drive it and one of the HLA was bad so the engine made lots of tapping and I thought it was a great deal.

I guess I'm just used to getting good deals!

I picked up my first '91 SS for $500, but it had no tranny in it whatsoever. Everything else was good, albeit rusty. I had it up and running for $900 total. Granted, I'm asking for a runner/driver for that kind of money, but I'm not expecting anything in too good of shape.
As far as non-turbos go, my wagon was $450. It needed a clutch but I drove it away and actually drove it for a couple weeks before I got around to replacing the clutch. I also got a '90 LS (with moonroof and electronic climate control) for $500 from the the local Suby mechanic (his daughters car).
