what are the usual laws for passing snow plows

just wondering, cause i am always passing snow plows on the road

They travel under 25mph, so you CAN legally pass them if you so choose. I can understand not wanting to be behind them, or too close in front of them --driving around them in general makes me nervous anyway. You never know what's going to spit out of 'em!

Just don't pass on the right...that is the only rule I know about

hmmm.... well if its doing its job you probably wouldnt want to pass a snow plow seeing as they are plowing snow...

Except for the fact that a lot of the time they're spreading sand/salt out the back of the truck.

Trying looking up the Codified Ordinances from your state. Hopefully it will be online, if not head down to the local library.

Hear-say will get you nowhere. But if you pull out a codified ordinance on a police officer, he'll either immediately leave you alone and tell you to leave or want to throw handcuffs on you! lol :)

it's okay to pass a snow plow when they are stuck, right? (w/ 17"'s that have bald tires. :wink: )
