17X7, 5x100, 40mm offset with 225/45/17 tires?

Current Subi: 1998 Legacy GT Wagon 5sp in the midst of an EJ257 STi swap with 6sp. Woohoo!

The offest is a little shallow, should be 48 to 55. If your car is stock hight the 225/45/17 should go with the propper offset. I think the combo of shallow offset and 225 tire width may give you trouble. That rim might work with a 215 width.

Hmmmmmmmm. I just caught a smokin deal on the rims. Maybe I can roll the fenders to make them fit.

If I had to go 215 instead of 225 I would. I haven't bought tires yet but I did buy the wheels.

Any one else want to throw in their 2 cents?
