do our cars have the plug in engine block heaters for when it's cold outside?

the cord that connects to a wall outlet, i know im going overboard with info.

or is there another way to heat it other than turning it on? (i dont think there is but i'll ask anyway)

You can use the block heater that's sold for newer Subaru models. It installs in place of one of the freeze plugs on the bottom of the engine block.

Most autoparts stores have magnetic block/oil pan heaters (range in 2-3 sizes) you can purchase so the oil is not thick & heavy when you start the car up in cold weather. I plan on getting one for my motorcycle since I ride throughout the winter months as the weather allows.
