turbo hiss, not really a whistle

I was curious to hear from others that had opened up their intakes as tp what their increased noise sounds like. I love a turbo whistle, but mine is more of a hiss. I have the stock turbo with 212,000 on it. I have removed the resonator and the snorkus as well as a larger intake tube to the airbox. What do your guys sound like?

be fore i built my front mount mine made a hissing sound just like yours. it makes a more higher pitched sound under boost.
its normal.

mine hisses mostly at part throttle and It sounds like the BPV is letting excess boost (thats building up before the partialy closed throttle blade) back to before the turbo.
but yeah, our cars dont really make the turbo Whistle that some are used to hearing!

Mine hisses always under PT, light load. However,it's breathing through the stock NA box and silencer. It is a turbo via NA MAF and other stock breathing components.

its funny, with the silencer box removed, cone air filter and my front mount my car kinda sounds like a jet. bad ass to say my self.
