i have no idea why this is happening but im seeing any were from 16inhg to as low was 9inhg. i did just put on a light weight flywheel, 9.5 pounds. would that effect anything?

I don't see a flywheel to cause those issues. Are those vacuum readings at idle around 750rpm?

yeah its around there. my gauge is jumping all over the place 16inhg all the way down to 5inhg and right back up. i don't know what i did, i was seeing near perfect vacuum before my clutch and flywheel install. josh i found out what you meen by the car being jerky as sh*t and very easy to kill, but i think i can get use to it, i do like the performance.

Check for loose or disconnected hoses. You can try spraying starting fluid on the hoses, too. Did you remove the engine to replace your flywheel or did you remove the transmission?

i droped the tranny, i did find two hoses that were disconeted and fixed that but i still get the same reading. it was the two hoses under the intake manifold on the passenger side. i did some work on my intake pluming but i think i got ever thing reconnected. oh im getting almost 10 MPG, yeah almost 10. put in six gallons ang drove 54 miles and i was past empty

i think i've got the same thing going on...

i just installed my vdo boost gauge and when i tried to start it it would roll over...but it would take awhile for it to start and when it did it just died like 2 seconds later and my revs would drop really fast.

when i did get it to start up, it started at like 22K rpms, then it would fall really fast and not start.

my boost gauge read -20 for vac and then it went normal... then it died.

wtf.

Are you sure there isn't a leak in between where you attached your boost gauge line and to your actual boost gauge?
