edit: strange noise after clutch install

witch way is it suppose to hold the clutch fork? i hear something kind of ticking in my bellhouseing, and when i move the clutch fork by hand it stops? i can also just push in the clutch with my foot and it stops, it only makes noies when the clutch is out

The spring should be pulling the end of the clutch fork towards the engine, away from the firewall.

thats the way i had it hooked up, but it was makeing a noise so i took it off and it went away. what else could it be? i think it has something to do with the clutch fork and the throw out bearing. its almost a clicking sound

Could be the spring rubbing against something. Have someone press the clutch, while you look at the clutch fork & spring to see what is causing the noise.

i can move the fork by hand enough to make the noise stop. im still debaiting on troping my tranny again this weekend but i want to make sure i realy have to. i don't think it would take that i have done it just 6 days ago. the sound that im hearing kind of reminds me of a baseball card in your bike spokes

what kind of negative affects would a poorly adjusted pitch stop have on a new clutch if any?
