YUP!
I was on the freeway at about the 99th ST exit and I could see the swirly cloud looking thing before it touched down... I looked and went "Thats a wierd looking cloud?!?" It was about the time of the cloud burst that hit the freeway... It was nasty, couldnt go more than like 30mph on I-5 and still couldnt see...
But I guess it did end up touchin down...

you actually saw the funnel before it touched down? i bet that was sort of odd, i wouldnt know how to feel about that. its like "aw man, thats cool", but its also like "damn, this is going to suck".
what do you mean by cloud burst?
we had a tornado go through downtown Owensboro a few months ago, the apartment my mom and I used to live in had the rear half of it ripped off
there was a second tornado on the outside of town that was less than a mile from my dads house, one of my friends lost several trees from his backyard

whatching more of the news, they are saying F1 or F2, and that its rare here, and VERY rare in the winter. it came completely out of nowhere.

The northwest has a few of its own weather terms... thats one of them...
A cloud burst is a HUGE burst of rain that often cause flooding within like, 5 mins, and that is the max duration of them...
Its like dumping a 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 gallon bucket on an area thats like a few miles large...
They happen occasionally and when they do... they suck to drive in.

ooo... so its like a micro burst then, a very short but violent storm.

once a year in Vancouver? that would be allot, i think Kentucky averages 9 a year
the one we had in 2000 was on January 3rd, i remember that because i was with my mom driving in the middle of town when the radio station we were listening to went dead, and every street light around went out so people were going insane trying to get out of town and back home. trash cans were rolling down the street and the..... well its an extremely long story, i remember it so much because i was only 10 at the time, so it was slightly traumatizing

the actual last significant tornado was 1972. occasionally throughout Oregon around spring, there might be 1 or 2 F0 ones, and a couple sheds get blown over.

Well yeah... but one touched down last year in the Ridgefield wildlife refuge... I think it took out a tree and it hit a trailer... rofl... so stereotypical!!
And they are so so so so so so so so so so so so small...
I mean like just bigger than a dirt devil...
