ok so i've searched and searched but am confused... there are alot of posts talking about how you have to add a bypass valve or blow off valve that make me think they don't come stock.

then there are other posts that talk about people using the STOCK bov and making it a bpv which makes me think that they do come stock...

so my question is i have a 1992 legacy 2.2L turbo, does it have a bov/bpv stock? or do i have to add one? where does the bov/bpv go, it's between the turbo and throttle body right? before or after the inter cooler?

and if you have links to bov/bpv's that you would recommend please do post them.

thanks

You do have a stock valve. It is a recirculating bypass valve. There is no intercooler. The valve is mounted on the underside of the pipe between the compressor and the throttle.

i'm very aware there is no inter cooler that comes stock on the car however i just ordered one so i was wondering once i install the inter cooler the pipe where the valve is now placed (which i found thanks to you) will be history so where should i locate the valve?
i'm not sure if the inter cooler itself has a mounting point for it so if it doesn't should i put it on the pipe before or after the inter cooler?
thanks

You can put it in either place; there are advantages and disadvantages to each. You're likely to find that the way the plumbing and intercooler are shaped limits you to one or the other.
