Fuel seperator tank removal.

Post by conrAWD »

Has anyone removed their fuel separator tank? I'm wondering what hardware is needed and how well it works?

You talking about the one in the trunk?

Technically, you really shouldn't have fuel up there......it's mainly there I think if for some reason you overfill the tank, and to keep liquids out of the evap emissions system.

I've checked on a website linked off this site and the guy said a brass T would work.

Just wondering if anyone has done this? It doesn't look like it would be that difficult and create any problems. From what I gathered its just an emissions tool and as long as I can repeat the airflow things should be OK. (I hope)

Nice...thanks for the link. That diagram helps. Does anyone know the size of the T I should use? Where to get one?

Fuel Separator Tank is GONE! I used a 1/8'' brass barbs and T to make the replacement. All this work to get some speakers to fit....DOH!
