like, for real stage rally?
You need a lot more than bigger tires for that.

Get a set of cheap/used snow tires, fresh struts, and start rally-xing. There's not really any reason to spend much money at first.
Check specialstage or your local nasioc forum to find when/where they're happening.

check your local SCCA (
www.scca.org) you're likely to have a rallycross group in your area.
FYI, National Rallycross has been held just outside Nashville, TN at the Super Speedway because we have the best course in the nation, and some serious space to play with (so says SCCA) so you should feel jealous, seeing as I get to drive that course sometimes

Yeah but you dont get too see them racing down a 2 track at 60mph with 2foot of snow !
Try the "Sno-Drift" in Alanta Mi. in the middle of January!
now that looks FUN!!!!

Word to the wise...When you are a novice rally driver, Rally America requires you to drive a 2wd car for your first 11 coefficients or so.
I don't know if you were planning to get into stage rally, but if so, that is an important point to consider.

I saw a Madza RX3 Rally car @ Rally NY Last year.
It was the loudest thing out there!!!
I also saw a AE86 Levin rally car which was pretty cool + the usual Mitsubishi / Subarus.
