underwear inside out

I am sure this has been discussed before, maybe not on this forum though, but I am wondering why when you wash clothes, the underwear are inside out when you remove a load of clothes from the dryer? I have not done any experimenting yet at this point, but what if you put them in the washer inside out, when you take them out of the dryer will they be right side in? This has been bothering me for quite some time now, maybe forty years, and I'd like to have a resolution. I probably should have done a Google search before posting here though. Sorry.

A lot of clothes come out "inside out."
The answer to your question is that the clothes are actually right-side-out. We wear them inside-out. Consider how a simple garment is made -- you have two panels of fabric, you sew them together around the edges, and then you turn it inside-out so the seams look pretty.
Make any sense?

Plus, a lot of times when you remove clothing it becomes inside out too. You throw it the dirty clothes and probably don't even realize it until you pull it out of the drier.

I don't have this issue, but I try not to pull my clothes off so that they are inside out. Except for socks and they usually are inside out.

The laundry gnomes do it. Whatever they don't keep for themselves, they return inside-out.
You people should know this.
