Troubleshooting a dead sunroof?

The PO of my car sealed the sunroof because it was leaking, but I'd like to have it back for the summer, and I plan on fixing the leak (as per the sunroof thread), but after cutting the caulking he used, I tried to open it, unsuccessfully. I didn't hear any sort of motors trying to move or anything. Complete silence.
I've checked what I think is the relay, as the Hayne's Manual told me to. I could see a red connector behind the dash once the little knee-panel-thing was removed, and it was connected.
As far as I know, all of the fuses inside the car are intact and working, but if you guys can let me know which one to check, specifically, I'll go check it again.
I really hope the PO didn't just clip some wires in some strange place. I don't want to have to tear my interior apart just to get it working again.
Thanks.

Is the dome/map light thingy all hooked up? You may want to check that when you pull down the headliner.

The dome and map lights all work as they should. I probably should have mentioned that in the top post.

Ah. Is there a connector there, too? Looks like I have a project for next weekend... or maybe sooner.

Pull down your headliner and check the sunroof control module...
As I recall, it is blue, and located towards the back of the car.
Also...if your buttons are bad, I have an extra button unit (ok, dorky description) that I would give to you for like $10 shipped.

In my '91 SS, the control box was black plastic, located just to the passenger side of center between the dome light and the rear window.
I took mine apart, and there are 2 big components on the board. These are the relays that control the opening and closing of the sunroof. Mine had cracks around the solder holding them on. I re-soldered the connections, and everything was gravy. Then they broke again. I need to take the thing back apart and wick all the old solder out and replace it with new.

i had the same situation and the po did the same thing, sometimes the sunroof works right away but most of the time i have to hold the button down or press it a bunch of times to get it to work.
