Emmissions P I T A

Every two years some damn- fool politicians demand that the Turbo Wagon be checked for correct emmission output.

The Fraser Institute, a Vancouver research group, has done a study that observes that with recent cars and their longevity of tune remain as about as good as it gets. Older cars eventually die and no longer pollute.

The conclusion is that on such testing the cost is greater than the benefits.

For this, as well as a certain mission of civil disobedience--I don't run cats.

In order to get passed, the shop put two NOX cats in series as one pipe, and when it is time the two resonators are removed, the cats put in and the computer is re-tuned.

Then after getting passed all is re- set for performance. :-D

Absolutely useless exercize. :smt092

Why do you need to retune the computer? Are you running that rich normally that you couldn't pass with just the addition of cats?

You're complaining that you have to unbreak the law to break it again?? Am I missing something?

You chose to take the cats out, but don't like the consequences... yet, no one made you take them out. I am not saying anything about the fact you have no cats, but the fact that you are complaining about fixing something you caused. :?

Josh

The problem was that if you got the NOX correct then the other one was impossible to get right. So used the two cats, dialled in to get the proper readings.

Now done, and back to no cats :D

Also, Andy sorted out the waste gate control for 13 # at the low setting and 15.5 # at the high, and tuned the computer for that. Had it at 14 #.

Moves very well now :-D :-D :-D

This is the shop:

Complaining about a useless government expense--even for those running stock with no need to make any changes.

As Emmerson observed "Government that governs least, governs best." :-D
