I want to maintain stock ride height or raise it about 1" in the rear but with a stiffer spring. I plan on using GR-2 struts. This is for a daily driver and I'm not looking to spend a lot. Has anybody installed rear springs and struts that gave them near stock ride height or slightly higher.

Sometimes I think that the worst thing a person can do is think they are really funny, so I apologize.

I continually forget how the perches differ from pre- and post-facelift cars, but I'm pretty sure there's a combination of struts and springs that will raise the rear. I think if you use 92+ rear struts and 02-03 Impreza springs it will do it.

If you look around there are some threads that explain the differences between the struts.

Dynamic :D

Jamal,

Thanks and I have looked and found theory but not facts. Such as " this is what I installed and these were the results". I know there are people on here that have done swaps and come out with close to no drop or a slight increase in ride height.

put direct sti takeoffs on there. Tophats, struts and springs. You can get a set for about 300 bucks, and they are AWESOME. If you ever want to lift it, throw some forester springs on em and mob away.

I have not been on here in a while but I thought that involved drilling, fileing etc up top. And had camber problems

Thats what camber bolts and grade 8 fasteners are for. Oh and a welder. They don't call it custom for nothing.
