VF23 or TD05-16g on a 4eat SS?

I have a VF23 off a V4 STi & I have a 16G ready to be slapped on the SS as an upgrade to the 90* inlet TD04 it's EJ20G is running now.

I was wondering which of these turbos would be a better match for a 4EAT car.

The VF23 has a p20 e-housing, is slightly smaller than the 16G & flows less CFM @ 1 bar of boost (VF23-423CFM 16G-505-520CFM).

Not sure of the response but if the VF23 responded quicker than the 16G I was thinking it may match well with a auto car.

Any thoughts?

I think the VF23 would spool a little bit faster, but not by much.

maybe 500 rpms.

I would go with the 16G because of that. You will enjoy the top end more.

But if you are not pushing the PSI much, then the vf23 will not feel much different.

I think I'm going to use the 16G eventually as spool is similar, but it has greater potential than the VF23.

Sold the VF23 & have just 2 TD05-16Gs (1 to slap on the car & 1 hold onto as a spare).
Less options make choices easy!
